Monday night in New York City, ESPN won eight Sports Emmys presented by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for the 40th year.
During the ceremonies at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall, longtime college basketball analyst Dick Vitale was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
ESPN now has won 204 Sports Emmy Awards, which annually signify the best in sports media, in 32 years of eligibility.
“Talented and hardworking people are behind our innovation and storytelling,” said Executive Vice President, Content, Connor Schell. “I am proud our efforts were recognized in so many ways with eight Sports Emmy Awards. Congratulations to all our winning entries, and, of course, a highlight was Dick Vitale’s Lifetime Achievement Award – truly, awesome baby!”
