Sarah's friends would say she's a troll-slayer, hype-woman, activist, traveler, party-planner, forever learner, wife & dog mom. Sarah's resume says she's an Emmy & Peabody Award-winning sports journalist. She's the host of the first ever daily women's sports podcast, "Good Game with Sarah Spain" & the Content Director of iHeart Women's Sports, the first-ever audio platform dedicated exclusively to women's sports. Her first book, "Runs In The Family," came out via Simon & Schuster in 2025. 

Spain has been a jack of all trades in her more than two decades in the business, including 15+ years at ESPN, working as a radio & podcast host, TV personality, producer & writer. Her current part-time work at ESPN is focused on espnW. Spain is a co-owner of the San Francisco Signal pro women's volleyball team, an investor in Crux Football, a community owner of the Minnesota Aurora soccer team & was formerly a co-owner of the Chicago Stars of the NWSL. She's in the inaugural fellows class of ASU's Great Game Lab, serves on the Laureus Sport For Good Chicago Leadership Council & the Sport Beach Women's Leadership Council, is co-founder of the charity Hear The Cheers & was a founding member of the Gatorade Women's Advisory Board. Spain is a graduate of Cornell University, where she was a heptathlete and served as co-captain of the track & field team.
