Sarah's friends would say she's an expert troll-slayer, consummate hype-woman, passionate activist, enthusiastic party-planner, unabashed costume lover, avid traveler, forever learner, wife and dog mom.

Sarah's resume says she's an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning sports journalist who has been a jack of all trades in her two decades in the industry and dozen-plus years at ESPN, working as a radio and podcast host, television personality, producer and writer. Her new daily women's sports podcast with iHeartRadio + Deep Blue launches in July and her first book is set for release in early 2025. Spain is on the Gatorade Women's Advisory Board, is a former Crain’s Chicago Business “40 Under 40” honoree and was formerly a minority owner of the Chicago Red Stars of the National Women’s Soccer League. Spain is a graduate of Cornell University, where she competed as a heptathlete and served as  the co-captain of the track & field team.
