Sarah's resume says she's an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning sports journalist who has been a jack of all trades in her two decades in the industry and dozen-plus years at ESPN, working as a radio and podcast host, television personality, producer and writer. Her new daily women's sports podcast with iHeartRadio + Deep Blue launches in July and her first book is set for release in early 2025. Spain is on the Gatorade Women's Advisory Board, is a former Crain’s Chicago Business “40 Under 40” honoree and was formerly a minority owner of the Chicago Red Stars of the National Women’s Soccer League. Spain is a graduate of Cornell University, where she competed as a heptathlete and served as the co-captain of the track & field team.

Sarah is passionate about helping rescue dogs. Her favorite organization, Peace For Pits, is a rescue group that focuses on finding loving, caring homes for “bully” breeds in need of help. Many of these dogs come from facilities across the Midwest, arriving as a stray or being surrendered by their owners. Learn more at peaceforpits.org
